Silicon Grease

Silicone grease is a waterproof grease made by combining silicone oil along with a thickener. The product is used by consumers where petroleum jelly etc. would damage certain products like latex rubber and gaskets etc. There is one more application which is in the lubrication of fountain pen. It is also used to seal and preserve O-rings in flashlights, plumbing, waterproof watches and air rifles. Silicone grease is used in waterproof devices, as it is very thick so doesnt dissolve in water.
